Where are the servers running?

We use AWS Region Frankfurt by default and replicate backups to AWS Region Ireland. If desired, we can provision VMs/containers in our data center in Vienna (number is limited).
 

There is also the option to have VMs running in your infrastructure.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in datacenter in AWS Europe (Frankfurt).

Can I use my ByteSourceCloud instance in my existing infrastructure?

Yes, this is possible (additional cost). However, there are some requirements that need to be met, e.g.:
 

  • CentOS/Redhat 7 Linux instance
  • Outgoing Internet trafic allowed (if necessary for a specific list of URLs)
  • Remote access incl. root rights to the VM for ByteSource employees
  • SSL/TLS certificates
  • DNS entries
  • Mail server for outgoing mails

Which Atlassian licenses do I get if I choose ByteSourceCloud?

You get the datacenter subscriptions of your desired Atlassian products. If you already have Atlassian subscriptions, you can continue to use them in the ByteSource Cloud instance.

My Atlassian licenses are about to expire. Who takes care of the license renewal?

If you obtained your Atlassian subscriptions (upgrade or renews) from ByteSource, we will take care of everything including configuring the license keys in the instances. If the licenses were not obtained from us, we can support you at additional cost.

I need a new (additional) license subscription or a new apps. I want to increase my current user/agent count of my existing sunscriptions. Can ByteSource assist me with this?

Migration

I have data that I would like to migrate from X to my bytesource.cloud instance. Is this possible?

Yes, various migrations are possible, including from and to Atlassian Cloud.

Which source systems can be migrated?

  • All JIRA, JIRA Service Desk , Confluence, Bibucket, Crowd and FishEye Crucible systems, server or datacenter editions
  • Atlassian Cloud JIRA und Confluence, Bitbucket Cloud
  • 3rd party tools like Redmine, Mediawiki, Twiki and many more

How much will the migration cost?

Costs depend on many factors, such as the source system, number of pages, issues, workflows, markups used, etc.
