J2EE Coaching and Architecture

2005-2006 We provide J2EE architecture consulting for a large technology customer (one of the largest international technology corporation with headquarters in Germany) for a telecommunication related products. We accepted the role of coaching up to 70 developers in topics such as Enterprise Java, transaction handling, data persistence, asynchronous communication etc. We also successfully introduce test-driven development including the appropriate tool chain.

To insure the database persistence, we develop a new OR mapping layer for a telecom specific database system.

To decrease the sub project integration efforts, we also introduce dependency injection techniques and the appropriate frameworks for dealing with it. Together with the architectural department we develop end to end blue prints, reference implementations, introduce code reviews, pair programming sessions, code metrics measurement and continuous build management. After the project is finished, the internal customer's development team is fully enabled and still on a high and constant development speed.
